Lead (II) oxide / lead monoxide, lead (IV) oxide / lead dioxide, lead (II,IV) oxide / triplumbic tetraoxide and lead suboxide are discussed. The polymorphs of lead monoxide being litharge and massicot have different crystal structures and colors. Compounds of lead including chromates and carbonates are also covered with regard to their use as pigments in paints.
